Association of Master Tradesmen?

Just been called by these guys offering minimum ten leads per year they take an average 2% of sale, they need two work references and a £500 holding deposit to show our commitment.

anybody heard of them?

Try suggesting that a solicitor approved by both parties holds the deposit for 12 months and see what the reaction is

We registered with them a while ago, it is not expensive and there are loads of private jobs posted on it, you can specify your geographical area. If you are looking for bigger contracts, then Constructionline is better, it is where local authorities etc. are more likely to look for you. Be warned, the application process can take a while if you don't have things like Health & Safety and Environmental Policies in place. It is a bit complicated to explain in a few lines, if you need further advice just let me know.
