Hi all

I am about to make the move from working in banking to brokering asset finance deals for businesses who are looking to expand by purchasing or leasing new equipment and machinery.
I am now looking for businesses to partner with including both suppliers who will be looking to sell the equipment and can refer customers to me to arrange funding, and also agricultural and similar business who are looking to buy or lease items and want to arrange funding themselves.
Can anyone recommend a good method for getting the word out and building a network of individuals and businesses like this? Maybe you are one of these businesses - would you respond to an email campaign? Social media marketing?
 
Firstly, well done on segmenting and defining your market, far too many new brokers try to be all things to all people, which is weak and a nightmare for marketing

Your first stop will need to be FCA authorisation, which will be required by lenders and adds a degree of credibility

The strength of your offering will rely on your lender connections- specific to agriculture you will need some who can offer VAT deferral and seasonal payments

When it comes to ‘puttin* the word out’, this is quite a physical community; there will be a number of events, exhibitions and and local communities where suppliers, contractors and farmers will gather. Your success will rely on getting yourself amongst them - you can take the opportunity then to see what online media they use
