Irrelevant, they have a customer base the size of which most of us can only dream about. Its all about the base imho and theirs is huge. Didnt tesco do something like this a while back which created so much uproar amongst the established estate agents that they withdrew it?

The concept of an online solution to selling your house is the correct one.
But as your website is the core and shop window of your business, design and functionality are everything. This is where I hope I've differentiated myself against my competitors.

I am not keen on asda's websites at all they look very unprofessional, but then again, tescos' is always freezing up. It makes you wonder who they employ to do their websites as they have probably paid out a fortune, unless they have been done for free just to have them on their portfolio.

Self sale- your site is beautifully designed, it should definitely make a difference, if only you had the customer base of Asda huh :)

I like your site, unfortunately, in my opinion, the photography could be improved, like most EA`s.

Rooms may be small, better equipment and sometimes lighting would make a massive difference.

Just my opinion.

I take your point and appreciate your feedback.
We are currently reviewing the picture quality of our site to improve it over and above anyone elses. This includes picture sizes and whether to crop them, the quality of the filter when uploading them on the site, and the actual presentation of the pictures themselves.

Any suggestions on what you would do or like to see would be greatly appreciated.

When I displayed a list of properties I got the links for "Login" and "Show Map" over the photographs. When I clicked on the "Show Map" link I got an error saying that something went wrong. For your information I am using IE6 on Windows XP.

Dont know if its a glitch or not, but a quick use of your search facility shows 3 lancashire houses within 23 miles of Darlington (Durham ).... like the search facility otherwise (slider thingies !)

Thanks for this.

As we're a young company, with a small amount of properties listed, a decision was made in the early days to list all results.

As the database becomes bigger, the search facility will then come into play more.

I hope this makes sense.

perhaps you could put something up with the search results to say the search has been widened to show more results ? Just that if it were me and I didnt get back what I searched for I would assume it was broken and go elsewhere (im pretty impatient !!)

Do like the sliders though - spent a lot of time in the past searching online estate agents and got sick of drop downs and typing in 100,000 - 300,000 all the time, much quicker with teh sliders :)

*good luck btw*
