are shareholders funds drawable

Hi if you have a credit balance in your directors loan account and also a figure in the shareholders funds is this actual monies owed to you by the company ? I know you can draw from the loan account if it is in credit but what about the figure in the shareholders account

Shareholders funds should represent the post tax retained profits, and so is available for distribution. NB. Unlike drawing down a a credit DLA, distribution of dividends of more than £5,000 (total dividends from all shareholdings) will lead to a tax liability.
