Not really sure about the 1,000 character string, but I would certainly say at the moment it won't work. I do all my editing individually in the back end but I do remember this being discussed on the forum, i.e. that you could just type 1,000 characters of keywords in one string and that it appears in the top one of the five boxes. I can't see how that can possibly work given the memory cap.

Ref. brands, one thing I have noticed is that in some searches, Amazon plonk a banner at the top saying 'click here for top brands' so there does seem to be a bias there. I wonder if certain brands are paying for that?

Ref. whether the title is part of the 250 bytes, personally I don't think it is, as my own titles vary quite a bit in length but I find the character limit I need for the additional keyword boxes is fairly consistent, on the UK site being around 270 - 285 most times. I would expect that to have wider margins if the title length was an issue. I did originally suggest on the seller forum that the title might be added but I don't now think that is the case.

We too have a look on our shop, it looks healthy and normal, website is yielding sales. Even we refer client shop it is pretty much normal too.

My suggestion is make sure your website look error free in Google webmaster tools.

If you are performing SEO then change your strategy and check.

Promote your products in Social Media Channels and have a track in Google Analytics.

Did you make changes to the search terms in the parent SKU if you have variations? Or was it just the child? I have had a similar situation to yourself - and after seeing this thread - ive managed to get visibility on all listings again. Although i have just changed the search terms in the child products, am not sure if i should have changed it in the parent sku - as those parent sku's still display the overcrowded search terms i used.

Can you not just slowly do some experimentation

Create a unique string and put it in your search box on its own 67GHTR233RWE9
Let amazon do its stuff and then search for it

Now take it from the the box - and see how long it takes to stop working - and be sure this is how it works

Now put it back in the box but further down - say at 600 - does it work

If yes up to 800

If no down to 400

etc etc

In my experience parent keywords often overwrite child ones. You should be wary of making edits to the parent and all your altered search terms changing back

I'm a newbie, but have found that whilst my queries and sales are down via my website, as soon as I created an Instagram account and have been posting on a regulal basis, I get more orders through social than i do online. In fact, it was getting orders from week 1 of having my Insta account.

If you're looking for cupcakes delivered in and around london then get in contact with me :)

As per the research eCommerce sales will reach an eye-whopping $2 Trillion sales so this might be because of your faulty strategies. Try to focus more on higher customer experience rather than giving discounts although price plays an important role in eCommerce sales.

Also try to focus on your customer support services. Any loophole in this will significantly reduce customer's returning possibilities on your website. So try to implement on my suggestions.

May have sorted it out last year.
