My son who is 19 is extremely keen to secure employment as an Apprenticeship, working alongside experienced Professionals in order to learn new skills and gain better experiences within an Accounting Firm. We are in London Area, he has passed both his AAT Level 2 and Level 3 and is doing his Level 4 at the moment but prefer to be working and finish his AAT Level 4 through an Accounting Firm. He's got very good references from both his college Tutor and Secondary School Teacher.

If anyone is interested or willing to take on an Apprentice please let me know! All necessary documents can be provided, CV, Covering letter, References, Certificates etc. My son is more interested about training than wages at the moment because he thinks and I agree with him that it is more important to gain experiences at this early stage of his years. His attendance records from both his college and secondary school are very good and he is a very hard worker.

There are funds available from the Government Apprenticeship Scheme towards costs of wages. I have the direct link but not sure if I can add the link on here.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Helen,

My Company has just completed a fair bit of engineering work at PWC in London. They recently took on some apprentices from the campaign by the London Evening Standard to get more young kids into apprenticeships with large london companies and funny enough there where some that joined PWC as apprentices in the accounting field.

You could to get your son to contact them direct or even the London Evening Standard http://www.standard.co.uk/news/work...ndependent-apprenticeship-scheme-8631501.html

Also there are numerous Banking and Accountancy agencies throughout London he could even ask them to see if they can place him for some practical experience, do a google search for a list.

Good Luck

Thank you for your reply and for the link, I'll get my son to ring them up for more information, thanks for mentioning about Banking and Accountancy Agencies didn't think about them sounds like a good idea, I'll get him to contact as much Banking and Accountancy Agencies within North London and the City hopefully he'll get something.

Best wishes.

Looks like you're son has a bright future ahead of him. If I heard anything I'll let you know

Thank you for your kind comment, if you hear of anything in the London area and would not mind letting us know it would be most welcome. Yes I was so pleased when he decided to study accounting, I believe that would give him a better future ahead, life seems to be tough these days and I would hate for him to struggle for a living, an Accounting career would give him that chance.

Best wishes
