Hi,

I am dealing with a company which i would like to place and order with. Everything up to now has been fine, good communication, prompt delivering samples (quality great). The only issue I have is that the factory i am dealing with doesnt have an export licence, so they are giving their bank details of the company owner. From what i have read its better than a 3rd party export company, but its still making me a little reticent for giving the deposit.

But like I said the samples are good, they sent photos of their stand at the recent Canton Fair, photos of packing of recent orders etc. Also they have been open about reason for not giving a bank account in the company name.

Have spoken to them on the phone, they have a website etc and I was planning to visit and have a QA/QC company check goods onto the container.

Should them not having an export licence make me reconsider laying down ther deposit?

Thanks

If you have any concerns:
1 - pay someone to do a factory visit, to prove it is really there
2 - Pay by letter of credit - then they have something negotiable with the bank and, if worded correctly, you get security that the goods have shipped!

Also, it does depend on the items and the order value!

Import_from_China_contact

Dear Sir/Madam,

Having been interested in importing wholesale to Poland (from China) clothes (dresses, suits, shoes), parfums and aluminium alloy rims (my partners' company), I would like to know "how to start a deal". Having no contact in China, I'm a potential victim of a fraud. Please, provide me with some information.

How to find a Chinese company producing such items?
What is the cost of freight?
What is the procedure and cost of importing eg. clothes from Chinese company or manufacture?
What is the minimal order quantity (how many items)?
What would be the delivery time, payment terms and packaging details?
Would it be delivered in container to one of seaports in Poland (Gdansk, Swinoujscie)?
Could You give me a contact data to a person/company who imports Your products to Europe?

What I am particularly interested in are:
Minimum Order
Payment Terms
Product Specification
Delivery Time
Country of Origin
Sample Availability
Price Negotiable/Not Negotiable

If You know someone who imports such items to one of Europe's countries, great! I might buy it (a part) from You and then distribute it in Poland. So, for example, if You import clothes etc. from China to France or Germany, I can turn up 2 or 3 times a week there, pay You for the goods and take them with myself to sell in Poland. Paid in cash, goods available during the transaction.

The biggest demand in Poland is for:
- clothes (also underwear, jackets, dresses, socks, suits, sports clothes),
- pottery,
- stone - masonry area (valuable kinds of rocks/stone - marble, especially Chinese marble),
- motor and auto parts and whole motocycles and cars,
- tools and machines (gardening tools, equipment of industry - petrochemical etc.),
- lenses, projectors, monitors, computers.

I'm particularly interested in clothes.

It is a matter of urgency and I would be greatful to You if You reply as soon as possible.

Thank You.

Yours faithfully,

Janusz Wisniewski

Hi,

I am so glad to see you guys are talking about buying from our country. I am Samantha, from Shenzhen ChangFang Semiconductor Light Corp. Ltd. maybe you are not in our business scope, LED Lighting, But I am glad to provide some info you need to ease your concern.

Actually, there are many companies don't have a Chinese mainland lience, and need to pay to private account, or have a Hk registered company. How to say, they may be not big factory, but if their product fit your needs, it is no problem whether there are big or mediate sized.

For sure,if you wanna get source, pls tell me. I am good at sourcing here, and i am glad to solve problems for foreign friends.

I have to post 15, then i can raise my topic. This is the 2nd post.:p

I think the most important thing is about the factory, better to check them out before you pay the deposit. Otherwise, doing LC, safe for both party.

For export license, it is easy to arrange it via Hong Kong agent, and cost u around 150HKD only.

Good luck!

For supplier to gain the order, they will certainly send you the best quality sample, but this do not mean the goods you ordered will be the same as the sample. this is a popular situation in China.

How you receive the right goods you ordered?
I think you should learn more at : kennygao.com, this is a blog that I write some articles for oversea friends to do business with China.

Good day to you! This is Melissa based in the United Kingdom, specialising in dealing with UK or Europe companies which are importing cargoes from China.

Are you looking to expand your suppliers base? I could assist you!

1. Our company has dealt with China suppliers since year 2000. Thus, we have wide contact with various suppliers from China. My colleagues in China could help you to search for suppliers and factory visits.

2. If you have found your own suppliers, our company could provide you cost efficient way of importing goods from China to the EU countries which could reduce or exempt your company from various unnecessary trade barriers.

For more information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Looking forward to our cooperation.

Best regards,
