Anyone run a fishing lake before?

I have a very lucky opportunity to run a fishing lake in France, it's a bit pie in the sky at the moment as a second lodge will have to be made to offer good accommodation. Has anyone done this on here?, i would love to hear from you.

No Matt but I know several people who do, and I am currently looking for the right venue(carping) to take on myself.

Is there anything in particular you wish to know in regards to costs, water management etc or are just wanting someone to tell you about their experiences?

Thanks for your reply's guys, yes Steve ,i thought i'd put it out there to see what others have done or are doing. It's my mum's place and the carp fishing is amazing to be honest. Thinking of starting off small and realise theres a lot of management involved. Taking a look at some fishing forums to get an insight.

Also wouldn't mind having a noseys myself. Were doing the Ebro next year, but year after be back to France so will need a venue.

Have you been down to the big lakes in France to see how they are operating? what sort of stock have you got in there now?
