Hi UKBF,

I have literally just finished setting up the foundations for what I hope to be the primary forum for UK person's involved with different Management Systems.

The management systems ranging from ISO 9001 Quality Management to other less known ones - Automotive standards, Aerospace, Energy etc...

Currently on the forum is just me, of which I am starting to populate the categories.
I am leaning the best ways to:
- Attract people to the forum
- Promote the forums
- Create good engaging content

Although been planning to launch this site for a few months, now it's to get it active and off the ground, which plans for new services to be add in later months...

But, the main reason for me posting here is to see if there is anyone involved in the this ISO industry or working with different management systems?

I would very much like to ask you to join the new forum and hopefully make it become a thriving community.
Did you recently have an ISO certification? How was it?

As I'm sure many business owners have heard of ISO standard etc. then I hope you will appreciate having a forum dedicated to providing help, assistance, templates and more.

There forum is called: The ISO Forum (.com)

I look forward to and appreciate all support giving by the UKBF members.
Regards, Charlie

Hi All,

Great idea for a forum FlackUK, thanks for setting it up.

I work with ISO and BS Management Systems both on in academic position and as a consultant. I would be keen to hear peoples thoughts on the subject and answer any questions if I can.

All the best

Paul

Hi Paul,

Thank you for the comment! Much appreciated along with the connection on Linked In!
Really interesting to hear about ISO on an academic position I feel you experience would be a very useful insight upon The ISO Forum if you are willing to help others.

On a The ISO Forum update.
Currently the forum is dead..... like dead, dead.
Not many views, but this is all due to myself not giving it the time and updates as required.

As an objective this year I will be pushing this forum and giving it the attention it deserves to make it a UK leading forum for people wanting help with ISO (and other) systems!

There will be a dedicated product website launched later this month for Quality Management for any business interested in implementing ISO 9001.

I will update back on here when I have more info to share!

Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie,

Thanks for the quick response.

I know how hard it is to get something like this up and running but really worthwhile if you can. I have written a number of blogs on and around the subject of ISO's on the AVISO Consultancy website, Let me know if any of these might be of help?

On the academic side of things I now work at Loughborough University on a project called CORE, all about increasing public engagement with resource efficiency initiatives. Before that I did my PhD at Cranfield university which involved an Investigation into the potential barriers and motivations to the certification of ISO 14001. I still do some lecturing there on environmental and energy related masters courses and have a couple of papers with the Journal of Environmental Management on the same subject.

Please do let me know when things are up and running, I would be keen to help anyway I can.

All the best

Paul

One of my business interests used to be creating the handbooks in several languages for ISO this that and the other. That was a long time ago and I have now managed to no longer wake up screaming "The Quality Control Manager must inform the Quality Control Production Officer of any issues arising within production, transport or any other issues that could possibly effect quality and quality related matters."

Sometimes, I would scream that out in French or German.

Now you have brought it all back to me and I was trying so hard to forget!

Damn you!
