Hello all,

I have been planning for sometime now to import some memory sticks, computer memory, usb sticks, cables and other small computer related accessories from China. I have gone through various forums & google and gathered some information regarding the process and procedures to be followed to get the items into the UK.

As I am a beginner in this aspect, I would want to know if anyone on this forum is currently importing such or any similar stuff from China and would help me out with finding a REAL supplier and a Quality Control Agent.

Thanks for all you try to help me out.

Sanjiv,

I had been to Alibaba for my initial survey and it did give me loads of supplier details (i have heard that some of them are not genuine wholesellers) and hence want to know from the forum members the REAL suppliers/wholesellers with who they have been transacting and I can approach the them to start importing.

There has already been threads about importing memory sticks, i also was tempted my self i like to have my fingers in a few pies, but got put off with alibaba as the sellers on there purchase there authentic seller labels, its too risky for me i could never part with big cash on that site,.

Also the out come of the threads have been, dont do it you cant compete with the big boys, and that ebay is not a fantastic place to sell them.

Do you have a big bulk purchase budget? ;)

" Vance Miller ", the kitchen entrepreneur can most certainly point you in the right direction. He sources most/all of his stock from China, and is company gains in excess of £20 Million per annum cash. Search " Vance miller " on youtube and look out for " Brits get rich in China ".

Are they counterfeit electronic components like, for example the 2sc1969(made by Mitsubishi) that was discontinued in the mid 90's that the clever Chinese guys attempt to replicate to this day by any chance?
Hi gglml, drop me a line and I'll see what we can do to help you: we specialise in sourcing goods form China, and we've a few contacts manufacturing electronics and components.

Cheers,

Paul

Hi,
Im English and have lived in China for 4 years. I have visited many factories and exported computer equipment. They can vary, some factories just assembling parts others are physically making the Chips.

On Alibaba most people are agents who can know how to speak English. They will make out that they work for the factory or own the factory and take a cut .

If you need any help or advice just let me know. Cheers Marcus
