Anyone here implemented AI or ML automation?

I'm a director of a company that provides a service that is pretty much just a simple process. We've automated much of the operations but we're now looking to improve.

Has anyone implemented an AI or ML solution?

What should we be thinking about?

Where do we find good people to help us with this?

I know there is a company called volume.ai in wokingham who produce AI software and have done for years. Mainly used in marketing for chatbots i beleive, but they might be a place to start


Another option as it is a bit of a buzzword at present is talk to your local uni, there may be a ktp (knowledge transfer program) opportunity where basically the uni work with you to develop something cheap but bleeding edge whilst a postgrad gets their thesis from it

I worked with an AI/ML startup for a couple of years, in order to rely on Ai you need shedloads of relevant and context specific data to teach the system. Without this your Ai will be nothing more than a random guess by the system.

Whether or not you can use AI/ML very much depends on what you are trying to achieve. You'd need to provide more information to determine whether it is feasible to program a solution. It may also be that you don't even need an AI/ML solution in the first place and regular software can handle it.

Like the above poster said, if you can solve it with AI you will need significant training and validation data to train it. However if you are already processing the data through your existing process then it is quite likely you have this.

At the moment a lot of the automation is done through bought in systems like zapier etc.

What I am aiming to achieve is being able to move this on into taking away some of the time-consuming decision making from our outbound call team so they can spend more time speaking to people.
