I'll go through this thread at some point and update the first post so we can see who is from where which should make a meeting easier.

Sorry, I started this thread then got side tracked and didn't log in as often for quite some time. Still have quite a bit of DIY to do and then I'll have my own space to work from so should be on here more often and then will try to sort a meeting out. Unless you guys have already sorted one out ?

I'm also going to be abroad from the start of April to late May, so maybe some time after that ?

I used to have a small IT business. I still do a little VoIP. I dabble a little in property. I am IT contracting at the moment but considering starting a business on the side.

If you find yourself at a loose end feel free to pop in and see us in Barry, we are always looking for contractors to work with.

Wow! Not logged on in an age and missed quite a bit! For those who may be interested, my colleagues and I operate a telephone based, advised protection firm specialising in Life, Critical Illness cover, Income Protection/Redundancy cover and dabble in Home Ins & Healthcare plans.

Currently our set up consists of all online generated enquiries from various affiliate websites inc. our own campaigns however, we would like to compliment our business with setting up local links with other businesses to push onwards now that we have finished year 1 of trading without facing the wrath of the Bank Manager!

If anyone would like to discuss any possible ventures whether it be referring clients on to us or for us to provide a consultation service on the above including risk assesment of keyperson and shareholder protection, please feel free to get in touch!

For those who tweet I can also be reached on jay_perkins

Cheers all! :)

Hi,

Dont know if i am posting in the right place but here it goes.

I am going to be project manager of a program for economicaly inactive people within the rhondda valleys. I have been trying to find businesses that are willing to give my proposed candidates a chance in life by either offering unpaid work experience or even a chance of an interview. We are going through tough times and I know it is hard to dedicate much time to helping a stranger or a group of strangers out.

any help is appreciated

Kind Regards

Simon

What's occurring ?

Cardiff Born-n-Bred, I and my adult son recently returned from Arabian hot deserts, blue bays and 5 star luxury of 9 years living in the Gulf, but thrilled also to view our green countryside, trees and many public gardens with wonderful flower beds. We also popped over to Chippy Lane to see how the area has changed lol. Registration of Business Name/s is in itself a stumbling block apparently here in Cardiff at the moment. How about considering that we few, currently here, in and out of this 'thread' possibly scheduling a time plus location during July, for face-to-face discussions on how easy or difficult it is to set-up a business by young entrepreneurs in, around and beyond our Capital City ? Age limit 18 to 81 ? Invite both fe/males. My son also did 2 years in China and speaks Mandarin, native English and Arabic. The Pitch Competition in Wales soon may have some benefits for particular people, however there are those who would not wish their business ideas and plans to be aired publicly, to prevent copycats lol. If UKBF do not object, please think this suggestion through and respond with a ye or nay.
