Hi
Be delighted to assist - we offer impartial advice on where to source data from. We don't have any ourselves so we are unbias. List Owners tend to recommend their own in house products ;-)

Have never used MarketIT Direct as they are not DMA members according to my knowledge. They are the same company as Clearbluegroup.net, ABClists.net, blue-pages.org and CharityBase.net and prospectemail.net. Be happy to offer and advice here if required.

If thats the case steer clear, clearbluegroup are awful. Managed to get a refund off of them due to poor quality of the data.

Historically I always used marketingfile but bought some data off them recently (not a great amount) but that wasnt great either, a fair number of gone-aways and not recent ones either.

Guys - its important to understand here (as I see this a lot on this forum )that MarketingFile are resellers. They have 10 or so lists for b2b and b2c and resell those - servicing 90% of their business online. Nothing wrong with that of course, its just that you need to understand which list that is on marketingfile you purchased data from as that is where the praise/criticism should be placed. Was it Equifax? Was it Acxiom etc..Although, having said that, MF should be able to offer the correct advice.

Anyway as always - for trusted, impartial advice on sourcing data for direct marketing, be delighted to have a chat.

I placed an order for a marketing campaign six days ago, although the money was taken from my card promptly I have still not had any reply or delivery of the order. The order should have been a list attached to an email.

I've emailed them twice and not had a response and their phone number, an 0845, just goes to voicemail.

Judging from this I've little confidence in the quality of the data or even if it'll turn up. One to avoid.

Hi - sorry to hear of your trouble.

This information I posted previously may help you..

Have never used MarketIT Direct as they are not DMA members according to my knowledge. They are the same company as Clearbluegroup.net, ABClists.net, blue-pages.org and CharityBase.net and prospectemail.net. Be happy to offer and advice here if required.

Also Chartdirect also - I am not a fan on multiple company names myself but thats just me. Keep trying, hopefully there is an explanation for this but for future reference stick to purchasing data from DMA members.

Took a call from my credit card company and my credit card's been lighting up the online retailers like christmas. Looks like my card details have been sold on, nothing to say it's them but the co-incidence is there for you to judge. I rarely use this card for anything except the odd businesses where we don't order on invoice. And if btw still no email with the list that was ordered, no reply to my chases and no answer on their 0845 number.

out of the blue got an emailed list through with a list of 2000 contacts all switchboard numbers - perhaps unsurprisingly wrong contacts with people having left several years before and one even having passed away!

MarketIT Direct have wasted my time and money, nothing left to do but kick there door down and go after them.
