Anyone exhibited at the Festive Gift fair NEC or Spirits of Christmas fair Olympia?

I am thinking about exhibiting at these two shows and wondered if any businesses on here have ever exhibited and could offer any advice? The stand fees aren't cheap! and it seems risky as you have no idea how much you will sell, you obviously always hope for the best but you never know. They get good footfall and have been on for years but I've never visited either. I went to a Christmas fair at the NEC a few years back which I didn't think was this one but as I can't find any other Christmas fairs on at the NEC it must have been!

Probably shouldn't have posted this on a weekend! so does anyone here exhibit at either of these shows or go to them as a consumer?

ok, has anyone exhibited and more than covered their stand fee? or not so? what did you sell? My worry is that people go to these for a day out and only spend money on the food stands rather than actually buying xmas gifts? We want to exhibit with our Hinz and Kunst range which are sculptures made out of nuts and bolts, over 400 in range, average price about £28 to £45 with some more expensive pieces,http://www.allthingsgifts.co.uk/hinz-kunst-nut-bolt-men-c-3.html so by no means a cheap range but are suitable for all year round gifts not just Christmas.
