Anybody currently looking to advertise?

I've had some great feedback and advice in threads on here on the subject of bringing in advertising on Television.

We have a show which airs on Sky Channel 219 which is looking for sponsors. It goes out 4 times each week and attracts a mainly male audience.

We have approached companies direct but as advertising strategies tend to be planned months in advance we now have things in the pipeline for next year but in the meantime we are looking for companies who might benefit from advertising on TV.

The costs for this would probably be cheaper than radio advertising and it might be that there are companies who could offer services as apposed to paying for this.

Anybody wanting further info please PM me!

Though it would also be interesting to hear what other kind of advertising is working for people.

I've only just spotted these replies!

I think regards to how cost effective it would be depends on if what we are offering fits in with your target market. Our show was originally targeted at a male 20-45 market we're told it was bringing in a wider male market so they are moving our show to a primetime slot to capitalise on this.

I know a 30 second spot can be tens of thousands (plus production of the spot) so as u say definitely out of the reach of most people price range which is why sponsoring a program has become so popular.

That's pretty much what we are offering on our show.

We film at live events with free entry so we are looking into advertising boards like at football matches and including sponsors in our event programme and on our new website.

That means that any sponsor logo would appear on screen for the majority of our show around 4 hours a week. Our main sponsor could also appear on our opening sequence as being in "association with" or sponsored by so it would appear at the start and end of each commercial break plus plugs from the presenters every time the show's name is mentioned.

I think the other main thing that you get with this kind of sponsorship isn't just that it will be seen by the thousands of people that view our show at home it's that our thousand or so "hardcore" followers are going to be far more likely to use your product than a rivals purely through association.
