Hi wondered if anybody on here could give me a few tips now i have worked as a door supervisor and doing lots of other different types of security for the last 6 years, i have recently been made an area manager and my bosses have asked me to try and get new contracts for the company.

Now i know this business can be quite cut throat at times and i have been offered a percentage of any contracts our company lands so basically any tips would be appreciated

I am going round local businesses where i think they will need security for example entertainment venues pubs and clubs, office buildings, carparks, sporting events looking into music festivals, shops, supermarkets, shopping centres

Anymore help would be truely appreciated thanks

Sounds like your doing the right thing. Wear a suit, get some nice business cards printed, do some door knocking. You do need to be consistant though and keep at it for a while but I have no doubt you will gain contracts that way.

Go get it to kick off in a normally quiet little boozer on a couple of weekends and I'm sure they would be happy for your services.

This made me chuckle don't think i will try gaining contracts this way to be honest

Yes i think i am going to get myself a new armani suit and get round every single business i can think of is there any tools over the internet you can possibly use

Thankyou everybody for your advice so far

Trust me i certainly know about that with other security companys but that is not the way i intend to go about it i am on about new businesses before these companies even get to them not going to other places where they have already had the same security firm for the last 5 - 10 years
