Just curious as to whether anybody uses video on their website, for any purpose, and if it has helped increase conversions in any way....
Can i see your website please?
Yes we are at -
This was the first site on the internet to use web video presenters in this way.
We created the videos and the content to be as easy to digest as possible with a view that the customer could get the information they require as quick as possible, make a decision and then move on.
Very nice website. But I think that video shouldn't start without asking visitor if he want to watch it. It's like background music on websites, many people find this annoying. Imagine situation that it's late evening, your little baby is sleeping and you are browsing websites without your speakers turned off, you enter the website like this and the sound wakes up your baby.
There should be "watch our video" button or something like this.
Btw. the speaking person on your website should introduce himself with his name and his position in the company at the beginning of the video.
Some good examples and feed back, thanks guys.
My next question - Is it ok to use video, in the form of slideshows with a voice over rather than having someone visually sat there?
I know the benefits of having a face there to create trust etc but what about no visual person and just slideshow type video with voice overs?
Yes, we have just produced video tutorials for all our main products... but - please check out Luigi from Localtown, he is going to be a star!!
I am getting great feedback from our customers and prospects about him already. He was designed and produced by the AMAZING http://www.thecharactershop.co.uk/ in Birmingham.

... The voiceover alone may well be more than many companies video budgets??
Yes great video, but not cheap - (although no doubt someone will trip along soon and suggest getting similar done on Fiverr)!
