actually, if I could jump in on this thread...
My wife is a freelance graphic designer, but I bought a samsung CLP-315 color laser for myself, a low level printer. She has now started to use my printer to print for her clients, and is killing the poor machine (and making bugger all at the same time), she is printing in the region of 500 - 700 full colour (with pics) print a month - often menus, wine brochures ect.
The running cost on this machine is not small, and to be honest, she needs to upgrade. Is there a laser printer that:
a) you can fill the toners at least once
b) dosn't go through all there toners after 600 sheets of A4
Looking at spending around 250-350 pounds....???
any advice welcome, the printer is great, but the costs are mounting up....
I would think she would be better off designing the items and sending the artwork to a printers to be printed. Will probably would out allot cheaper.
Sure, most jobs she does - we talking jobs of under 50-100 pages not brochures, generally menus, for some reason, in this country, big wine estates sponser restaurant menus....with a bit of advertising.
