I've recently opened a grease extraction cleaning company and wanted some help regarding quotes for jobs. Do you charge by meterage or how dirty a system is, or a combination of both? Or is it done on the type of establishment? For instance, I went out on a site inspection to a care home recently with 13 metres of ducting, along with the canopy and mesh filters and gave my quote to the client, and he responded saying he gets the system cleaned in it's entirety for £300! For a team of 2 guys working an 8 hour shift alone the cost of doing that job (if they were being paid minimum wage with no additional benefits) would be £270.90.
Am I missing something when I have labour costs, equipment costs and overheads factored into my quote, along with a markup and a margin because I can't see how I can compete with pricing like that.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks
