Hi there,

I am trying to make an anchor link and wondering if anybody can help me.

My website address is www.little-sports-stars.co.uk and the text I want is Little Sports Stars, The specialists in children's Multi Sports Coaching

Appericate any help! many thanks in advance!

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do - have that text with the link in it?

There is information on all kinds of links here, w3schools.com/HTML/html_links.asp

Forum links can be diffrent though as they use BBcode rather than html for links.

well, I have done my research and to get seo up etc, you have to create anchor text, (text that links to your site) so this is what I'm trying to do, I have looked on the net all afternoon, but have been confused by conflicting information, just wondering if anyone can enlighten me on this

where are you trying to post links?

If on a forum then you need to use BBcode. But I will delete your link anyhow as it isn't allowed

yea if you want to do it bb style use something like the following

[u r l=http://www.little-sports-stars.co.uk/]Little Sports Stars, The specialists in  children's Multi Sports Coaching[/u r l]

remove the spaces in u r l

It won't work properly as you are trying to close the tag with /> before the anchor text it should be >

Haha that was accident I'm on my iPhone.

They are confusing hyperlinks with anchor text,

Or that's what I can gather anyway

Anchor Text Link code in HTML:

You can use either ANCHOR TAG or you can also use URL TAG for this .......

<a href =" site link">Name used </a>
<url "site link'>Name used</url>
