Amazon.....

Anyone on here sellling on amazon?
Would appreciate some info i.e. what sales have been like.
Easy to use, Im using zen cart so is their an easy way to upload
products from my site?
Any other info that may help me to make up my mind about using amazon
would be much appreciated.
Regards.
Andy.

i dont use it but a collegue of mine recently said for every 5 orders he has at the mo, 4 are from amazon, 1 is from his website.

you need to research your products on amazon, see if you can compete..

personally over the past year i've noticed alot of my online shopping is amazon - but to get my purchase you would need to offer free or very cheap postage ;) its difficult on amazon as they offer free super saver post, to then buy from a merchant who makes you pay.

Thats what it is a race to the bottom,

Its good if you have over stocks / key lines you need to move. But to keep getting the sales you do have to watch your pricea bit.

having said that if you have good metrics you be more likely to have the buy box and can sell a lot less based on price.

did some selling on amazon in the past and like ebay, there are many counterfeit products from the far east and you will find it very hard to beat some of the prices.I've seen ipod earphones selling for 1p on amazon...Truly shocking!

Have never sold on Amazon myself (although bought a lot from them!) but a friend's 14 year old son buys things on ebay and then sells them on Amazon at a small profit. Doesn't earn enough to give up their day job (schoolboy!) but supplements his pocket money nicely (and is probably getting a great, self-taught, education in business as well!)
