Amazon Pickup Locations

We have a small hotel, it occurred to me that there are plenty of new apartments around here with no local Amazon pickup points.

Does anyone have experience in becoming a pickup location? How much revenue could we get per pickup? On the Amazon site there's a link to getting an Amazon locker, but we wouldn't want this, we have plenty of spare shelf space in the back office.

Thanks for the link but it's for the big physical lockers (which we don't have space for), not just becoming a pickup point. I'm sure Amazon (or Hermes or whatever) would extol the benefits but I was hoping someone could help with sharing their experience.

I used to use pickup points occasionally, one or two places only did it for a short time, so I don't think the minimum period commitment is onerous. All pickup points I used were newsagents and convenience stores. I would think this is a good idea for you, as presumably someone's always there and if you have the space, put it to good use.

My impression though was the need to be well organised in storing the deluge of packages of all shapes and sizes that would come in daily. Sometimes it took a lot of hunting to find my particular package and, in one case, I was told they didn't have it (I got them to look again and they did find it).

You may not need the locker The lockers are mostly for innight couriers that can have access in the middle of the night The amazon lockers are just for outdoor locations normally

The pickup locations I have used simply had a pile of packages behind the cash-desk. This is the option that Dahu371 wants.

Yep that's what I'm interested in. Can't see an option on the Amazon site to enquire about this. The pick up points close to me seem to be via a third party called Pass My Parcel, but their website says their service will be stopping later this year.

I found something that indicated Hermes collection points get nothing for providing their service, retailers just use it as a way of increasing footfall. If no one knows for sure on here I'll buy a can of pop and ask the newsagent.
