Hi guys,

I'm posting here because there are a lot of people selling on Amazon FBA who would like a prep centre.

What I mean by prep centre is a warehouse where goods are received, prepared (prepped), and then forwarded on to Amazon FBA fulfilment centres.

Many of use are doing this ourselves, all it involves is labelling products and boxing them and shipping them to Amazon. BUT it would free up our time if somewhere else could offer this service.

There are already exisiting prep centres here in the UK, but not enough and the ones that exist are too busy to help. They are overloaded with custom.

This would be a great business idea for anyone with enough warehouse space and manpower.

Look at FBA Prep UK and FBA Ship UK as examples of what to do.

You just have to be trustworthy and know what you're doing.

I use to work for Amazon Logistics Head Office and believe me they have no care for their sellers whatsoever and the products its literally just seen as 'another parcel'. So the risk with the prep centres is the indemnity insurance on damaged parcels and people fraudalently claiming they never get the items. We use to have alot of 'we never got it's ' at Amazon but its amazing what comparing signatures with prior deliveries can do! LOL

Completely agree with you Spuggie.

I work for a fulfilment house (3PL) and it has naturally come as part of our business. For example some of our customers will sell on Amazon, eBay and their own website. To get up the listings on Amazon they will use FBA and we become the natural choice to prep before going to Amazon as we already have the stock for the other sales channels.

I have seen a big increase in this in the last couple of years to the point now where we will do this as a stand alone thing (although we have not had chance to advertise that we do it yet, on my long list of tasks to update the website with it for 2017!). I wonder how many others are in the position as us in that we do it but not got around to advertising that we do!

More than happy to free up any FBA sellers time if they need anything prepped, just let me know!

Hi Spuggie,
I just came across your post and thought to throw in my 2 cents/pence. I represent an Amazon FBA prep company called (you guessed it...) FBA Prep Company. We are located in a well-equipped Warehouse in the North Yorkshire region and provide a full range of Prep Services from FNSKU label application, removal of shop stickers, applying your custom brand stickers, polybagging to just forwarding on your items to Amazon via UPS or LTL Shipments. You can check us out if you want to take your Amazon FBA business to the next level by using a prep company. Perhaps we could help :)

Hi there,
I just wonder if some of you are shipping your inventory to Amazon Fulfillment Centers in Poland, Germany or Czech Republic? Have you ever considered having your FBA prep services done abroad, in more cost effective countries in the European Union, such as Poland?

Maybe you are importing your products from China by rail? We are located in Kutno, Poland - next to one of the biggest inland intermodal terminals for container handling operations in Central Europe (PCC Kutno in the special economic zone), which connects EU with Chengdu in the Chinese province of Sichuan (with further connections to any city and sea port in the Far East).

Cargo containers are coming to Kutno by rail and road on a daily basis from sea ports in Western Europe as well - Germany (Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Duisburg), Netherlands (Rotterdam), Belgium (Antwerp) and even the United Kingdom.

You may want to find some more about us on our website FBAprep-Poland.EU.
Do you find such services interesting? What would be your suggestions or expectations (e.g. price)?

Wouldn't it be more convenient (and less expensive for you) to prep your goods on their way from China to the Fulfillment Center in Western Europe instead of importing it to the UK and then all the way back to Germany, France or Italy?

Best wishes,
Tomas
