Alcohol Bar dimensions

Hi all,

Looking at installing a bar into our small hotel, budget doesn't allow for complete professional help. I'm just wondering if there are any regs out there for dimensions? I've googled and googled and googled, yet can't come across anything particular.

Main concern is obviously the walkway gap behind the bar.

Obviously, I'm thinking, wall - fridges - walkway - behind/under bar counter - bar counter... and the walkway in the US I believe is 36" minimum, but no such luck finding something in the UK.

Edit: Just to add, I'm not 100% sure if relevant regarding equal opportunities etc, but there is no chance of wheelchair access behind the bar when taking into consideration the building is in a conservation area - multiple steps at the front, stairs throughout etc..

I've just has a quick google and the only regulations I can find relate to the height of the bar counter. One place I worked at converted a store into a bar and no comments were made about the behind the bar layout apart from having the proper sinks.

I can't imagine there would be any regs for this, building control would be the people to ask, call your local council and ask them.
