Affiliate programs and FCA

Hi there

I've searched this forum and the internet but struggle to find a solid answer. I'm looking at starting a loan affiliate website dedicated to a single loan operator. From my understanding, I would need to be FCA registered if I was generating applications and then passing the leads on. However, if customers were simply following a link from my website to the loan website and filling out their information and completing the loan application on their site - would I still require to be registered with the FCA?

Kind regards

Sam

If you're just offering a link without any advice or handling of the customers' information, then you are unlikely to need the FCA registration. However, the "financial advice" can get blurry in the affiliate marketing website, so a solid pack of website documents (term&conditions, terms of use, etc.) is a must.
