I am thinking of offering affiliate marketers the chance to promote and earn commissions on sending buyers to my website.

Any advice on the best place to get my affiliate program noticed by affiliates?

For the biggest impact then an affiliate marketplace is your best bet, they have hundreds of affiliate marketeers in various niches ready and waiting to promote good affiliate offers.

The problem with using a marketplace like this is with the fees. Affiliate Window charge a monthly management fee of a few hundred pounds and then take a slice of the affiliate earnings, so it's not a cheap route to go down, but with the right offer it can work very well for you.

The other route is a self managed affiliate program, this is much cheaper to run but will be harder to attract affiliates because they will not know about it, there is also a trust issue, with an affiliate marketplace an affiliate is pretty much guaranteed to get paid however with owner managed program's there is an increased risk of the affiliate not being paid.

I'm sure there are some forums you could advertise an affiliate offer in, another good strategy is to find blogs or businesses that you think have a customer / traffic stream which has some synergy with yours and then approach them one by one to offer them the chance of becoming an affiliate for you. This might not get you a large number of affiliates but the quality should be better.

Hope that helps,

Darren

Thanks guys Affiliate Window is not really an option down to cost.

I will look into the option of similar type sites and offering them to join my affiliate program.

I was wondering if there were any sites for smaller affiliates starting out that attract Internet marketers.

you can use cj.com as well. It's a very successful affiliate network. Don't worry about the cost if you find something profitable in it. Else you have to create your own affiliate platform which is not a good thing to do.

Thanks I have the software/platform covered just need creative ways to get affiliate marketers to promote it.

Might be worth taking a look at webgains.com, ( no connection) from past experience they can be more aimable with regards to set up costs and ongoing override fees for smaller merchants. look at getting the override tied / reduced based on volume.

Consider signing up to a few affiliate networks as an affiliate yourself, then browse the directories to locate similar merchants to yourself, see what their program terms and conditions are, check out their commission structures, can you compete with these and still offer a competitve retail price.
