Hello,

I am in the process of researching and planning my business idea and was looking into affiliate marketing as a way of subsidising my income.

I was wondering if anybody has any experience in this, and could give me an idea of exactly what would be involved in setting up and running an affiliate marketing site.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Sam,

Setting up to be an affiliate marketer is very quick and easy. Don't expect massive windfalls from it but it can bring a little bit of money in. check out places like trade doubler, they will help you set it up. You can get approved for the ads very quickly, sometimes within 24hrs.

just make sure what you are advertising is relevant to your audience or you won't get any click thru's/conversions from it and the ads become more instrusive.

Cheers

Hi Samantha,

Affiliate Marketing is not easy but has come into existence long back, when other forms of online marketing where still not own.

Its as simple as searching online (seeking advice) for a product or service, visting the related content rich niche sites, blogs, forums, shopping portals, comparision sites, cash backs, ipoints et cetra & from thereon, landing onto product or service pages, with a click on any banner or text link, of your choice.

To start with, get a relevant website in place. Seek alliance with Affiliate Networks and join the Merchant programmes you wish to promote. And there you go.........!!!! :)
