Hi Guys

trying to advertise some Vauxhall cars but adwords wont let me as i need tradmark authorisation I use the form google adwords trademark request but i keep getting we only accept authorization from the trademark owner this is for both the request for ownership requesting details

How do people get round this as i can see loads of my competitiors advertising their deals but mine is still limited

Hi Mystro,

You'll need to get the trademark owner to authorise your account to display ads using their trademark. You should be able to use the form above (selecting 'No' and then entering the information requested) and Google should assist you in finding the trademark owner.

If you're having no luck with the form, try dropping an email to ads-trademarks @ google.com and see if they are able to assist you in contacting the trademark owner for authorisation directly.

Done that and get this response, followed the instructions and get the same repeated message weather i use the owner or request .. don't know what else to do

Hi Mystro,

Do you get the same reply when sending an email directly to the address above? Usually they are extremely helpful in putting you in touch with the trademark owner.

You may have already done so but you can also find the owner of the trademark (obviously Vauxhall) contact details here: ipo. gov. uk/tmcase/Results/4/EU001159458 (remove the spaces I've had to add to the domain).

What a stupid answer......you trying to increase your post count by answering stuff you obviously have no idea on ........

For what reason do I need to increase my post count for when I am already a full member? Am just stating the obvious that your looking straight down at a barrel when their are other cost effective and most better ways to advertise - sorry for voicing an "opinion" on a forum...

Chelios is right. I've had trademarks like Xero, Invisalign, iPhone, iPad, approved for advertising on Adwords within 3-4 days. The process is pretty straight forward. As long as the website / landing page is relevant to the ads & keywords, then you won't have any problems. Hope this helps.
