Hi there,
I've been self employed for many years and now want to start up a company in order to tender for a contract - without sounding too thick - how do I go about this?? I don't want to go ltd - just incorporate a business - can you advise please. thanks

Methinks you are a little confused - 'incorporating a business' means forming a limited company.

There is no reason why you cannot tender for a contract in your current guise as a sole trader. Personally however, I would always recommend forming a limited company for the purpose. The easiest way to do this is through a company formation agent. Your accountant should be able to sort it for you.
