But some say i need to get legal cover also

but i cannot work out if its needed and why would i want it

Employers liability is a legal requirement if you employ someone.

Public liability is not a requirement but valuable to have. This is in case you fix someone's computer and it burns their house down after a faulty repair.

Legal cover will cover legal fees in the case of a dispute. But read the small print. There are only certain disputes it will cover. You may find that it won't cover most of the legal disputes you might find yourself in.

Legal cover is pushed with a lot of insurance because there are so many exclusions that it is
My business was a bit strange and I couldn't;t find suitable quotes - try https://www.hiscox.co.uk they seem to be able to offer decent prices and tailor the right package for you - just have a chat.

Just tried that link, gave up after the 15th prompt for extras.
