Advice on Content/ Newsletter Marketing

Hi,

New to the forum (and fairly new to marketing) and I am not sure if I should have posted this in legal.

I am planning to write a newsletter for a finance advisory. The content is pretty much set. The question that I have is:

Am I allowed to quote/ cite articles and interviews that I got from other sources, like articles, white papers and press releases? I'd obviously put marks around the quotation, but the information would remain secondary, not my own/ original.

Would I need to include sources to the newsletter? Is it not okay at all?

Thank you very much and sorry, should this have been asked before. I didn't find anything with the search function.

Merci

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I'd think the citation system works a little different in a commercial context, compared to a thesis or paper at uni, i.e. MLA, Chicago, APA, etc.

I'll try to find some guidelines on Google. Any help would still be much appreciated.
