Advice Needed

Hello
I have been an It technician for 15 years working as self-employed. Three years ago I was offered a six month contract so I was advised to go as a IT Contractor and have a LTD Company.
That went ok as I started to get work usually 2 weeks at a time which was fine but last year work dried up and the only contracts I was getting was 2 days sometime 4 days not only that my regular customer that I built up in the early days no longer used my service.
This as started the same and now my cash flow as been hit. I have decided to try another approach to my business so my business idea is building business Apps for local business at a price they can afford and a monthly fee to cover the upkeep. I have learnt the how to build them and happy that this could be what my business needs a new direction. I have nearly completed the website that will be linked to my own business website. My plan is to offer business a trial of there app for a month
with the hope of getting some sales and build a passive income from it. I would like advice on how I can get help with a business grant for promoting and getting this business started.
I have little capital available but I have all the tools I need to start making apps

Have you tried the government start up loans scheme?

Not so many grants available now but the business team at your local council can advise you or a quick search on Google should come up with details of any local business grants.

What do you need the grant for, just for the marketing/promotion or for something else? Given so many businesses want apps, struggle to pay for them outright the idea of a monthly payment option with a risk free 1st month should be attractive to many. What steps are you taking to get it noticed by businesses now? Grant funding as per above is limited and also time consuming to apply for with no guarantees of success, why not push it out there yourself?

Thanks for the advice The grant is for the cost of website and marketing/promotion/developers licence apple and google
I am limited on funding plus the licenced software I use is a monthly subscription
Letting business trial there app will show if its worth there while getting one if they decided against it I just delete it from the apple and google store but the feedback I have had already is good
