Advice needed regards name of my new company

Hi,

I am planing to open another company. I will buy some products from my country and will sell it (export) aboard. Now I am thinking about the name of my new company.

I am planing my company to be named as Prospecting. In the economic literary, prospecting means „the search for potential customers or buyers“. I think that this name is quite good for my company, but to be 100% that I am making the right decision, I would ask you for advice: is this name is suitably with the intention of my company? Can this term be used for some export oriented company?

Do you have plans to expand your company to other countries if it takes off in your home market? If yes, you should look in to what 'prospecting' means or how it may be interpreted in foreign markets before going ahead with it.

I'm not completely convinced by the name as it seems to give off the feeling of trading in the moment but not long term. Don't know if you think that's worth considering.

yes it can be a name of export oriented company but I want to tell you that you must think about future aspect of your company then take decision of the name.

...If your previous company was successful why not use same method to name the new company,anyway just go for something that will give your company lasting brand name and permanent recognition among clients or customers whilist still conveying the essence of the company

if something was successful, keep the method you used and continue with it with your new company.

It looks like the .com domain is already taken (unless that's also your business?). So I suggest you pick a name with a vacant domain in all the countries that are relevant to you.

Maybe "Prospecting" can be a part of your name? The rest could be something indicating where your business is located or what your main area of business is.

It's your choice, just pick the right name in your list that fits on the product that you are introducing.

keyword selector tool on adwords in google
that will give you a whole list of ideas and the amount of organic traffic you can potentially tap into !!

If not go to domainwhizz dot net I think it is and typ in your word and you will get loads of ideas again with nice google traffic

If you are selling online, I think the name should be the keyword so that it is SEO friendly...

I honestly do not like the name Prospecting. I think you need something far more "solid". to me it sounds like you wont be around tomorrow. People want to deal with companies that are "solid" that appear to be strong, and will be "forever" so to speak.

Is this new venture in anyway associated with your other venture, if so and the name of the other venture is well known, couldn't this company be named the same but with say, global after it or XXXX international division.. or something like that.

Just another thought to add to the melting pot.

there are quite a lot of 'trust'factors you need to build in any site and name is one of them
so best to chose something that sounds established or trustworthy.
That is if you are not going for a keyword in your domain
