Advertising Ideas

Hi

I run an online membership business selling individual tickets to sit in executive boxes at sports venues in London and the South East. I am trying to create occassions for individuals and companies to have a day out. Individual members will have the choice to buy tickets where as companies may see it as a networking system with other companies. Any advertising ideas promotional ideas would be greatly appreciated. The site is called boxshare.co.uk

Many thanks

Hi there, I've looked at your website; it's a great idea - I didn't know you could do that and there are some great events. Use social media to the max ie Twitter followers and FB likes (I also looked at the FB page and shared the link); add You Tube and post video of events and add to your website. Although you have the social sharing buttons add in the FB link to the page.

You could also consider SEO so you get found for "tickets/name event" etc - I can do a keyword search using professional software if you want or you can use google keyword ad tool (although be careful to tick box for exact search) and it won't give you the average number of backlinks required to be on page one.

Get blogging and post out updates to social networking sites and get on LinkedIn as this is good for B2B/corporate clients.

Run a competition to win some free tickets - guess the names in the photo - on Facebook and link to competition entry on your website to drive traffic, too.

Hope this is helpful,

Sarah

I have just taken a look at your website. It's an interesting idea but a difficult concept to pull off as you need to match up people who have free boxes with those that want them.
I am a newspaper editor for Business Report but I also helped develop a software app for the pr industry last year. You could try using it to generate free publicity, this would boost your profile and help online SEO if your articles got published online. I agree with an earlier comment if you got exposure in an influential publication then it would give you credibility. There are plenty of businesses that buy boxes for the season and then don't use it for half the season. Build up a mailing list of those businesses and populate into a CRM system. If you want a free demo of Pressvine visit www.pressvinepro.com and enter this promo code: pr429
Hope this helps!

I love your idea from a business and potential perspective, in terms of Marketing when we first started our Venture in Leasing we basically COLD CALLED everyone we potentially felt would benefit from our service I know its a very crued Way to market your self but to be honest when its a B2B environment not many will be looking for you as they do not know your on the planet so you must go to them and tell them we are here and we offer XYZ and it will cost you XYZ and you must try us at least one time even if your selling it at a BREAK-EVEN PRICE to undercut a competitor but so be it, otherwise they will not bother trying you as they feel best to stick with who we know.

I think for your business Idea We may actually use it as we get clients that fly to London now from time to time to meet and greet and it would be an interesting gimmick for a company like ours to entice executives who have the power to make or break us in terms of contract also we travel worldwide and we learnt its nice to adapt to local cultures as it shows the client we are interested in them and thier country so perhaps doing international venues may actually do you fine, I know recently in Japan we looked like Idiots because in Japan they love playing or Watching golf but we declined an invitation to play as we do not play golf but we did take them to watch a local gold competition which was fine but it was nothing fancy as we wouldnt know where to start looking for an executive boxes in such countries etc.

I know the likes of Oliver Wyman in Baker Street they actually do Monthly staff trips to sports events and they always hire an entire box and sometimes they only use a handful of seats in a box and am sure the other financial houses do the same so these would be the people to Cold call and market your product too.

I hope I didnt harp on too much and forgive me if you feel I have but just trying to perhaps giving you our business perspective on this service as we would be a potential user.

identify your top potential clients in each sector and invite them to an actual event free of charge. you get a 2 hour "presentation" with them, the product/service demos itself, you get feedback and you start to build the relationship with them. if they dont want to come to a free event you'll have serious problems getting them to pay to send staff/colleagues there.

that said i think my MD would like this... im sending him the link
