Looking to add a search box feature, for around 500 pages which are asp pages on a Windows server.

Considering buying something like zoom as if you pay I can index my whole site and customise the appearance of the search results to suit the site.

Thought I would ask if anyone had a better suggestion.

I realise there's google search for your own site but I want something I can adapt.

If asp it might be a not very common one! Any good asp developer will be able to knock one up for you
Just check and yes, OP's site is ASP.

More worrying is the op's header:

<metaname="author"content="northleithmill.com"/>

Attempt to reach it via browser:

403 - not found

Whois on that domain gives:

dhnewmedia.com as the contact.

Attempt to reach it via browser:
403 - not found

Whois:

Registrant:
Contact Privacy Inc.

Someone is hiding!

Its a mixture some pages are static some are generated using asp / database.
Therefore not everything is on the database.

Zoom search will work I'm fairly sure and is likely to be less than than getting it designed surely? around $100

Presumably less strain on the server also.

The site is bespoke not wordpress.

Still in touch with the original designer. Not sure what happened to northleithmill I guess Shell shut it down.

I am also looking to create a product search panel with drop down menu options to narrow a product search This is slightly different.

What I want to cover is some customers may search a particular model name or want more detail on planning permission or another static topic page which would only be possible in a full site search feature.
