Accounting software that integrates well with Shopify and Woocommerce

Hi, I have two online stores - one on Shopify, one on Woocommerce/Wordpress and I'm looking for anonline accounting software solution that integrates well with both of these platforms. Any suggestions?

Problem with this sort of thing is that very few accounting systems integrate directly with the online platforms, the integration is done by third party software so:

Shopify -> Third Party Software -> Xero/Sage etc.

So if the 3rd party software is rubbish or doesn't post sales the way you want it to then it doesn't matter how good the accounting software is...

You are also reliant on that third party being able to work quickly if something changes. I used to do this for a living integrating Sage with the online platforms and, one weekend, eBay changed something completely out of the blue that broke the integration so the Monday was rather manic getting an update out to our clients.

It all depends what you want to archive and what you need for reporting.

Why not integrate the payment gateways such as as stripe, PayPal etc... Into the account system instead of using a 3rd party plugin for shopify and wp.

I need a system that integrates with Making Tax Digital. I sell to the Uk, to Europe and to all over the world. 3 different VAT treatments and I need to each transaction to be recorded with the correct VAT treatment. Up until now I've pulled the VAT data manually from spreadsheets exported from Woo and Shopify, but the new MTD initiative means I can no longer do this.

If you have exported data from Woo & Shopify into Excel you can then submit the VAT Return via Excel using bridging software.

We use VT Excel bridging software for a few of our clients VAT submssions.
