Accounting services - recommendations

Hiya

I am in the process of setting up a new company and would want someone doing accounting and all papers work etc for me. Anticipated turn over is going to be approximately £75k/year and it will be just one director myself getting paid and rest in dividends etc.

Could someone recommend me reputable but not very expensive accountant who are willing to help/guide me initially through the process as well.

Would appreciate early response.

We do seem to have a lot of accountants on UKBF, but still isn't as bad as advertisingweb...sorry I mean accountingweb

To the OP the price for your sized company should be around the £100 a month mark for an accountant you can actually go and see and less for an online service.

If you are based in London/Essex/Suffolk I would personally recommend trying the LB Group.

Hi Roadstar I think the problem you'll find on this site is that most people, certainly in this section of the forum, only come here asking questions when they don't have an accountant those that have a good accountant dont tend to be here, or here often, which is why you arent seeing many recommendations. Sorry I know that doesnt help

Thank you. I'll have a look at their website but I am based in Central London.

They have an office in Stratford and cover all of London and the surrounding areas.

I've been using them for a year and really impressed that if I email my accountant with a question over the weekend I usually get a reply in a few hours, or if not first thing Monday.

Think their standard charges for a company your size would be around £114 a month including your company and personal tax return, which for a top 100 isn't bad at all.
