Accountant needed

Hi,

I'm looking for an accountant and wanted to ask you a few questions. I work in a fulltime job and earn approx 16,500 per year from this. I also have a second job. I have registered as self employed for this and am earning approx 700 per month before tax.

I registered a ltd company prior to me registering as self employed and have not used it at all in the first year. No trading at all. Nothing has gone in and out of the business I have set up What I'm looking for is an accountant who can take care of the legal paperwork I need to complete for the ltd company as I think I'm to late to shut the ltd company down as the annivery is on the 18th September I believe and I would have to give 3 months notice so I understand i would have to complete the legal paperwork this year. and also with help with my tax return for the self employed side of things.

What I would like to know is how much you would charge for this service? I'm really busy currently so would prefer you to leave a reply on the thread with an estimated cost.

Ive no understanding of the legal requirements etc so your help would be hugely appreciated.

You dont need an accountant to close down your limited company if its never traded. Have a look here -

You dont need to wait 3 months to start the process.

Few years back I had a similar situation, I called up TaxAssistants, they showed me how to fill returns. They did not charge me. I then called up HRMC and they further guided how to close down the dormant company. It was not as complicated as I had thought prior to the experience.

As Nicola indicated, you can close the limited company yourself if you do not need it, though it may be benificial to run your sole trader business through a limited company, so it may be worth speaking to an accountant before making a final decision.
