Limited Company - Single Director owned
VAT Registered
Subject to CIS but gross status
10-15 permanent employees
Turnover estimate £600-750,000

What's a reasonable price not just for year end but ongoing support and advice on a retainer basis? Need to look at the bigger picture ie tax planning not just end of year

What sort of figures would be reasonable? Ideally with person to person face to face contact but not essential....

Bookkeeping - usually charged on hourly rate, around the £20 per hour mark is what my firm charges.

We have builders/property developer clients who use subcontractors rather than employees so there is lot of CIS work involved. If they are all employed as in your case it makes life a lot simpler.

Rough monthly fee estimate would be £300-£450 per month.

Suggest you get tailor made fee quote if looking to change Accountants & tax advisors.

How long is a piece of string, your best answer is to contact some firms and ask them to quote as it does depend where you are based and how large the accountancy is as a general rule

I had a similar size company four years ago and did everything using Sage 50 and our year end numbers were about £1500 but we used quite a large company, they also never charged for answering simple questions that would be common knowledge to their profession
