I'm a solo-entrepreneur, starting up a services agency. At least for the first few months, all of the work will be outsourced to a sister-company or to other freelancers.

What would you put in the "about us" section of the website? I'm keen to include my professional profile because I have really good experience in the field, and this will help customer to trust my company.

On the other side, I don't currently have other team members to include, so I'm not sure if it would make sense to put myself only as "The Team".

What do you think?

When you're starting out remember that in your position, really you are the business .. so when you write your About Us page think of the "Us" as the business rather than yourself because all the same things apply talking about the business as they would to you individually..

So, say, the business has expertise (because of you)
the business has experience in the industry (because of you)
the business has networking contacts and connections throughout the industry (because of you)

If you think of the Us as the business rather than yourself then it becomes easier to to make the business sound more professional by taking advantage of you being in it.

As you expand, your About Us will change too so don't forget to update it and where you have people or resources that are a bit special put them on the page too..

If there are other people involved, such as your sister company or other freelancers, then you can refer to your business as "we" as there's a collective of people participating in the service you provide.

If you're proud of your professional profile, then start your 'about us' page off with a brief piece of copy about your business as a whole, and then include your personal achievements under the heading of managing director or owner.

PS: If it's specifically the term "about us" which you're concerned about, just title the page "About". It'll do the trick just as well.
