I found AA Leaflet Distribution's (Adam Atkin's) details on this site, so I thought I would leave some feedback - unfortunately it's not good.

I paid AA Leaflet Distribution (Adam Atkin) (in advance) to deliver 7,000 magazines. They were 9 days late, were unable/refused to provide a back check list, and even delivered to the wrong area! (if they delivered at all!).

I was told I would get a refund for the wrong area, but never did. I was told they were 9 days late as 2 of the 3 people delivering went off sick and the 3rd one could not drive! You couldn't make this stuff up!!

As they were unable to provide a back check list I hired an independent person to do a back check and he did not find one property in the area that had been delivered to!

I asked Adam Atkin to go out with me for a morning and we could knock on some doors together, but he refused.

I got no calls that month from potential advertisers, this was a first - I got no entries to the competition inside, another first and advertisers living in the area asked me where the magazines were, as they had not received a copy.

I have been in the magazine publishing industry for over 6 years, so I know when the magazines have been delivered.

C&V leaflet distribution

As a leaflet distribution firm I have customers telling me on a regular basis about other firms they have used and the problem is a lot of people go firstly for the cheaper option and this is what happens. Paying a little more to a reliable leaflet distribution firm who knows what they are doing.

Yeah, he was the cheaper option (by only £10 per 1,000), but I think the reason why I used him was not only price but also the posts he was making here - he seemed genuine.

However, even with my bad experience I don't believe he is like that all the time - I think he bit off more than he could chew by taking on my job over 90mins away from where he is based and didn't have the staff to fulfill the contract. Instead of holding his hands up and admitting it, he has tried to wing it. Absolutely no customer care.

As I said I offered to meet him and knock on a few doors together as he wasn't able to provide a back check, but he refused. Basically took my money and ran. So, he expected me to believe he (or someone) drove a 3 hour round trip to do back checks but he doesn't keep records of back checks - what's the point of back checks then?

Now to top it off, because I gave hime some negative feedback on FreeIndex he is leaving me negative feedback dispite never using my services. Not only that the feedback he is leaving me is totally false! - Very professional.

I understand your situation and I am a genuine person. there was problems with the distirbution of whiuch I did hold my hands up to. We couldn't forsee two of our distirbutors (A couple) getting ill when they did. Also the refund for the area delivered to by accident had been offered and still stands. As for the feedback on the freeindex this was a distirbutor who worked on the magazine run and was upset about being accused of not doing their job. This will be removed as they have been informed if it is not they will no longer be carrying out work for me.
The area itself was not a problem to deliver to as we did have distirbutors in the area we just didn't forsee the couple doing the delivery to become ill hence the 9 days late.
We have many satisfied customers and I have always said to customers that we would offer them numbers for bussinesses that use us on a regular basis.
Then situation we found ourselves in with your delivery was regrettable. The distirbution did go ahead but unfortunetly a distributor had gone onto one area that was not on the map, this was dealt with immediately and A refund for that was offfered. Obviously A refund for the area delivered to by mistake would be made.
If I was a conman I would not be on here trying to rectify the situation and declaring on a public profile that we would infact offer a refund for the area covered to by mistake.
As I have mentioned the offer still stands and I regret that this has got to this.
I look forward to hearing from you. Adam

Thanks agin for yourhelp but we have now saughted this out with the customer. Wording is everything and Unfortunetly in this case most of the communication was through email and this obviously dosen't have the effect that A one to one phone call or meet does. Therefore on occassions wires can get crossed and things taken out of context. So now lesson learned if A customer emails with a complaint, rather than email I will phone in future :). With not having any problems with past distirbutions I had managed this probably the wrong way but now all is ressolved. :) HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL.
P.s I am glad to see that there are some people on here who find time to offer advice and friendly comments during difficult times, this forum has been a great source of information for me over the past year.
