I have £200K in hand , what would you advice to start a business to make some money ? Carvery ? Pub ? Activity Center for kids ? what are the options out there. >?

As you mentioned..

A good carvery would bring in a lot more than 3k a week. However i think you would need more than 200k to do that.

Ideally you would want to find a rundown place and do it up and turn into carvery or pub etc.. but that would be very expensive..

I have found a place and i can get the place for 70K and do it up but than with restourant business as i can see on reviews online there is lot of stealing going on,

i was just lucky at that time to find the right dirt cheap ones but now seems to hard to find those properties anymore ....

So you have £200K to spend and don't know whether to start a pub or an activity centre for kids? Not really the same kind of business are they.... Surely one should stick to the areas they have experience in- and only YOU know what that is.

Anyway this can't be a genuine post....

Well I suppose that depends on the business itself, I am sure some clubs make 3k a week net profit and some dont. But its a very profitable industry

And some make huge losses and go bust

Which is why these threads are rather futile - it is possible to fail or succeed in virtually any business (including pubs) - without knowing anything about the Op's experience, interests, location and aptitude our advicet is about as much use as a school careers officer.

It all depends on alot of things, it could work, it could fail. If I had 200k to invest into business, I would make several smaller investments instead of one big one or maybe become an investor to other businesses. Then you can get on board some of the best businsses.
