Some of these are very good indeed.

To add to them, one of my tricks when i needed a seed tray was to cut the side off an empty pure orange juice container to make a mini trough and filled that with compost.
Worked a treat.

Other hacks i use are using old CD's as coasters, or pin them to the wall by a south facing window casts lovely rainbows across the wall.

here are a few more

Cut the bottom off a fizzy drinks bottle. makes for an ideal funnel, useful for topping up the oil in your car.

another, cut the top off a smaller drinks bottle, put a few holes in it, good for rinsing rice before you cook it

Want to get water to the boil fast in a pan?
Boil the water first in a kettle.
Heat the pan for a min or so, then poor in the freshly boiled water. works well for spag and rice

I learnt to tie my shoe laces in about 1 second from a video on YouTube. It used to take me a few seconds to tie them (Make a loop, etc) but now it's just a case of holding the lace in a certain way and pulling and it does it very quickly. It's probably one of the most useful pointless things i've learnt. (Go on YouTube and type how to tie your lace quickly or something)

Another good tip is to learn lots of short cuts on the computer. It makes it much faster to navigate round websites and folders and do word documents without having to keep reaching for the mouse ;)

One last one- if you struggle to know if you are far enough in your garage so the door can close, get the car in the garage and check if there is enough room. If there is, put a tennis ball on some string and hang it from the roof so the tennis ball is touching the windscreen. Then each time you drive in, you stop when the ball touches the screen and you know you're in far enough.

I think you meant to use the top of the bottle as a funnel........I use a large dilutable drink one.

I always boil water in a kettle first.

The mind boggles considering that TLT is a man for whom spelling errors are a pet hate :):)
