50% card decline rate for my website visitors. why?

In my case payments are showing 'Declined', customers are not backing out but the 3DS is flagging them and Declining the transaction. This is particularly noticeable for larger payments.

Consider offering bank transfers for larger payments. Explain to the potential customer that large payments can be refused due to fraud. All my clients now pay directly - I don't have any payment portal on my site. It's not caused any issues.

Yes indeed we do offer a Bank Transfer option, and following your post I think I'll adjust the wording on the site to point to that for those wishing to make a larger payment. All our transactions are 'Donations,' some regular but many one off. Thanks for following up
