Hi all,

is anyone experiencing problems with 123 reg email accounts?

Mine has been playing funny for more than3 weeks now, today I can't even access my emails.

Support saying the are upgrading and getting more storage space and they don't know when the end of the problems will be.

Is it troublesome to switch to another provider mantaining the same domain?

Thank you.

Yeah, mines not working properly either. 123-reg say they are working to fix it but don't know when it will be. They say it's because they bought some new storage, and migrating it all over is taking time. Well firstly, surely they could have picked a better time to upgrade, and secondly, a little note telling us would have been nice. Downtime with 123-reg appears to be one of the worse I have every experienced.

Quest Cloud Solutions Ltd

That's the trouble when a company gets to the size of 123-reg, pretty awful customer service!

And to answer your question, no it's not difficult to change to another provider, all we would do is change your MX preference and manage it ourselves. Your current downloaded email would upload to our "Cloud" when you choose to let it (preferably on a Friday night so it can go over the weekend, as you can't receive emails while they are uploading to a new provider!)

Glad you posted this actually; we've had an update to our site with a Wordpress plug-in that utilises 123Reg, the website was ready to go-live last Monday but we can't get 123Reg to respond and therefore it hasn't gone live yet. That'll also explain why they aren't replying to our Support ticket for it!

Great!.....

Cheers

Ryan

Slightly off subject, but a couple of my 123-reg website have been having slow loading problems.

Both are small sites with built in HTML/CSS so nothing major to load, but the time to show them was getting crazy.

I called 123-reg and had a bit of a grumble and they switched me over to a 'new server' and things seem to be working faster now.

I found their help section on the website absolutely useless and got very frustrated too.

Hello,

I'm Nerys and I work for 123-Reg.

I really am sorry to hear that you have been having issues with your email service.

We are currently working to have the email issues which some customers have experienced recently resolved, and are interested in all feedback which will help us with this.

I would like to ask if I could have some details to look into this further, such as a support ticket ID, domain name or username. I wish to gain as much information regarding the issues you have experienced so I can use this with the product management team to find solutions as quickly as possible.

So I would ask that anyone who is having difficulties please do get in touch and I will look into these issues.

Regards

Nerys

Hi Nerys,

Yes my email is super slow, so slow that I want to cry (this is not a figure of speech). Even sending an email with just a few words takes a few seconds and I need to keep logging in and out. The problem got so bad that I had to create a hotmail account and answer emails from that.

This has been going on for a few weeks now. I reported it to support twice and twice I was told about your problem and that at some point they would be solved, but no deadline was given.

you can contact me on [email protected]

I was informed by one of your colleagues that everybody is having the same issues and I am just excepted to wait for it to be fixed, I'm yet to find out when this is going to happen...
