1-2-3 Reg (Anyone Used Before?)

I bought the Domian Website Address from 1-2-3 Reg And I created a Basic Website, just so people can get basic information to where I'm based and a telephone number. However Due to Growing and I need to make my Website more professional but I'm having problems adding my own Scripts onto the website as I don't know where to find anything helpful.

I tryed using some Java and Html coding but it didn't work and just wondered if anyone had any helpful tips. Thanks

I had a client using the same 123-reg system and I moved them away from it, because it has limited resources and it's a very basic site.
Not used the system myself but from what my client said, it's just a wysiwyg system and doesn't take html coding (might be just them).

edit: Just read on a google search, if you're using the "instant site" there is an option called "script editor" which allows you to add html and javascript coding.

I buy many of our domains through 123-reg, always happy with their service, however never use them for site building

As a domain registrer they are one of the largest and I imagine almost everyone who has owned more than 1 domain has probably used them at some point.

For domains, to me, they are a perfectly fine company but never liked their sister company who provide the webhosting cross sell/ up sell.

You may want to consider moving the webhosting to a different company - though leave the domains with 123-reg and just repoint them (via the nameserver setting)

123-reg site builder is ok for very very basic sites

however best thing to do is move AWAY ....

host your site with hostgator.com $4 per month ! thats just over £2 a month and any script you want to integrate will work fine

us based servers, over sold servers - No thanks.

I would say go with a UK host then you can ring the support up rather than use an email support system. I have dealt with american hosts and they are a pain imo. I pay £1.08 a month for hosting, UK based company, UK based support.

Never used them for hosting, just domains.

Been great for domain names (.uk only, others are expensive on 123Reg)

Agree, all but one of my domains are with 123-reg. Easy to use panel, cheap and reliable.
