Did any of those clicks convert?
What makes this particularly interesting for businesses. Even though AI traffic is still a fraction of Google's volume, AI search traffic converts at 14.2% compared to Google's 2.8% - Exposure Ninja

Whats with the moving goal posts 🤣. From those clicks I got around 2 leads. But it told me alot more about how to make the question setup better. So that tracks with the Google search stats. My next step is not lose them being registered as faqs but position the internal links and ctas better to improve conversion. But all that data was very useful

There was a member here some years ago used Google ads for market research. They invested money to see which keywords and other info generated clicks and used the data to help their SEO.

As you suggest it’s not always about conversions. But that’s where you need to be eventually.

I’ve got pages that get steady traffic but all from tyre kickers. They aren’t ever going to convert so I don’t bother chasing them.

To be fair with dataforSEO that analysis is pretty darn easy now and covers Google, AI search, bing etc. And super cheap.

And ye eventually which is why these experiments give me so much more information and how I tweak things to get those valuable conversions.

One thing that consistently works for me is focusing on search intent first, not just keywords. If your content actually answers what users are looking for, rankings usually follow. Also, updating old content can give quick wins. Page speed and clean structure matter more than people think too.
On a side note, when I work on SEO while traveling or on public Wi-Fi, I use fastvpn — it’s simple and keeps things secure without slowing me down much.
