I'm tired of 20min tutorials, so I'm building a "Duolingo for Creators". Thoughts on the MVP?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some honest feedback on a tool I'm building.

I feel like nowadays, whether you run a business or want to build a personal brand, you are "forced" to create content. But the learning curve sucks:

  1. You either watch 20-minute YouTube tutorials full of fluff just to learn one basic concept.
  2. Or you buy expensive courses that are pure theory and boring as hell.
My idea is simple: Gamify content creation learning.

I'm designing Omnia, a tool for people who want to improve their online presence (Sales, Virality, or Authority) without spending hours studying. The goal is to train your "creator eye" with quick 5-minute daily challenges, so you instinctively know what makes a video work.

@lildodo - have you googled the word Omnia? Might be worth doing a rethink.

OK, I get it as a concept, but can't claim any real insight to the market itself - so forgive the questions if they are a bit obvious.

The USP is 'bite-sized' or quick - how many others are offering this? Is it really a USP or just another? (Again, i genuinely have no idea)

The emphasis on the name, rather than purpose suggest you are hoping to build a brand, rather than selling a product or solution - that will cost A LOT of money! Why not just set things up in terms of your USP and the one thing that really matters WIIFM?

Then of course, how will you ensure your content is good enough to maintain traction? There is a very vague line between concise and soundbite dross!

And…

Everything is content. The words you write, the images you use, even the shape and structure of your online presence. There is no forcing of anything. It’s simply all part of marketing. No need to watch any videos or buy expensive courses.

And I still can’t find your particular omnia. It’s not to be seen on Google.

Hey, I read this and the premise lands. The problem isn’t that content creation is mandatory, it’s that learning to create good content has been productised into boredom or priced into exclusivity. A tool that tries to build pattern recognition through daily constraints and short challenges is directionally aligned with how the best operators actually learn (in loops, not lectures.) What I’d test early if I were you is whether 5-minute cadence is enough to shift behaviour, and whether the gamification improves output or just engagement. Virality is less about instinct than repetition plus a framework you stop noticing because you’ve internalised it. If you can prove that Omnia trains taste through friction-free repetition, not long videos about repetition, then you have something real. The trap most early tools fall into is teaching the theory of attention instead of training the muscle of noticing attention, so make sure you’re measuring that, not just likes or streaks. If you get that right, the rest is product tuning, not philosophy
