To what extent is ai reshaping the landscape of sales in respect to cold calling ?

Hi All,

I am conducting some research on sales and AI.
As the title of my question states, do you think AI is having a big impact on sales and if so what impact is it making?
I have a 9 question questionnaire which will take 5 mins of your time.
Im asking for 5 mins of your time to fill this out and also to start discussions on this page.

I've been on the receiving end of a few dreadful automated calls, which fall over as soon as you take them off their script

I can't see AI or automation will ever be a positive contributor to cold selling in any form

I am looking at the effect that AI is having on cold calling in sales. Marketing is outside of my remit.

Self aware AI can be extremely advantageous for marketing, and has been. For lead generation, to controlling promotional accounts etc.

The uses are lowkey infinite, and will definitely put most agencies that don't use AI swiftly out of business as others will be able to offer much better prices for marketing services etc.

Do you use it to promote your businesses?

I’ve yet to see any AI generated marketing material that’s been any good. AI can be very good for analytics but that’s more about data management than marketing.

Based on my personal experience it is having a negative impact on sales. The moment I find I'm passed to or dealing with an AI then I hang up. Cold calls that ring me, the moment I hear that it is AI then again I also hang up.

People already dislike cold calls. Why do you think getting AI involved is going to make it any better?

The one I had today was about roof insulation. You could tell it was generated within the first sentence. I listened in just to see how bad it could get and it got worse and worse.

Why not ask questions on here - you'll get a wider & more open response (albeit not necessarily what you want to hear).

As a rule, people don't want to fill in surveys without some personal benefit or reward.
