Kitchen and bathroom renovation

Hi friends,
I’m setting up my business and just want to see your vision and advice or your feedback.
I’m gonna run renovation kitchen and bathroom business online. No shop or showroom to rent in the city, showroom is online. I can create website myself and I have experience in house renovation and kitchen installations and a bit plumbing and electrical stuff. But I want to be a project manager and just get leads and negotiate and even design for customer then give the job to subcontractors for the beginning and then slowly slowly build my team. I wanna supply kitchen and bathroom to my customers as well from Howdens, Samphony, Easy bathroom ect.

Online only is going to make it much harder to get new leads.

Most people will get referrals or use a search engine to find a builder who would then visit and discuss the project. They would be very unlikely to use your services.

    It’s great that you’ve got the skills and some work lined up already.

    I think the next big step is figuring out how new customers will find and trust you (without a showroom or high online presence). One idea is to showcase some of your past projects online, ask happy clients to leave reviews so you can build credibility, and really focus on word of mouth/ referrals until your brand is more established locally. Some food for thought.

    As a potential customer, I am very cautious with local trades due to some bad experiences in the past. So if I can, I usually stick with someone I know and trust. What would you do to earn my trust and convince me to give your services a try? I think it's important to look at your market and customers before marketing in any kind of way. Best of luck!

    A new kitchen/bathroom is a fairly big spend.

    Or, to be more accurate, a very big spend.

    And that is why trust is a key challenge, and one worth focusing on from the outset.

    And one your assembled team need to understand, too. Their work has to be amazing. Their approach to customers has to be, as well. One leaky tap, one dented kitchen unit, and customers will react.

    Getting customers online takes away the opportunity to build that trust face to face in a showroom, so you will need to answer the simple question posed above. Why should I trust you to work in my kitchen? And just words on a webpage are not going to be enough.

    I normally find people on mybuilder as they have reviews. I strongly suggest to build a portfolio on one of these apps.
    I also tend to go on third party sites like this (and used to go by any of the local fliers I had until I had a couple of bad experiences). I like seeing the reviews first.
